I don’t have a chimney so my review of Coachlight is based on the character of the owner, John. Today, I went straight into a snow bank on the corner of Gunn and Orion. Triple A was going to be 3 hours and I was prepared to wait since everyone was passing me without stopping. Then, John stopped and offered help. He worked on pushing out my car, then grabbed a shovel, then continued to work on pushing it out (with no gloves on in the freezing weather) until my car was pushed out of the bank. If you are considering who to hire, I can tell you that John is an incredible person.

Q: Hi Coachlight Chimney & Fireplace! I just moved into a house with a fireplace and chimney. Should I have a chimney sweep come out to inspect it before I use it?
Hi Jay, Thank for reaching out! Yes, an inspection is an absolute must prior to use. You'll receive a PDF copy of the inspection report if you hire Coachlight Chimney & Fireplace. I would suggest a level 2 inspection that includes a camera scope of the flue, and getting on the roof to inspect the top of your chimney and surrounding areas. We would also be inspecting the firebox, damper, smoke chamber, chimney cap, and any other components that your chimney and fireplace might have. The inspection report is generated by a specific software for chimneys and it will have photos and descriptions for you to reference. If a fireplace is new to you, then i'd be happy to help put your mind and ease regarding proper maintenance and burning techniques. Safety is our biggest priority and we have a passion for chimneys that we would love to pass along to you.
